Annihilating pathogens, preventing microbial resistance, protecting mankind
Coppclean® is a patented, fixed dose combination (FDC) of copper and low levels of didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC), that has a dramatically increased germicidal potency and lowered toxicity, because of the synergism between the two active ingredients.
It is a first-time-in-the world novel formulation that kills a broad range of pathogens including enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, gram negative and positive bacteria, protozoa, fungi, biofilms and spores. It kills 99.9999% of these pathogens at a dilution of 1:75.
AREAS OF APPLICATION
It is a hard surface disinfectant for use in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, other medical facilities, pharmaceutical clean rooms and laboratories. In Pharmaceutical set ups, it can be used in formulation area, production area, packing and filling areas, R&D laboratories, microbiology labs, QC & QA laboratories.
This FDC is fast acting, has broad spectrum action with enhanced cleaning power that is staff and patient friendly while being gentle on most surfaces.
Coppclean® is a novel, fast acting, broad spectrum, non-toxic disinfectant for use in Hospitals and Pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratories.
Mode Of Action
DDAC works by disrupting the cell membranes of microorganisms leading to leakage of cellular contents and subsequent cell death. On the other hand, stabilized copper ions target microbial cells by damaging their DNA and disrupting various cellular processes. Their different modes of action affect multiple aspects of microbial physiology, potentiating each other’s efficacies and leading to a very comprehensive destruction mechanism.
It is this synergism brought about by this novel formulation that holds the key to prevention of HAIs and microbial resistance.
Coppclean® is extremely efficacious against gram negative bacteria like Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter cloacae, Acinetobacter baumanii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia. Gram negative bacteria are less susceptible to quaternary ammonium compounds than gram positive bacteria. It is the synergism between DDAC and copper that allows Coppclean® to have a broad range of action.
It completely inhibits fungi like Candida albicans, Candida auris and Penicillium citrinum.
In a contact time of 10 minutes and at 1:75 dilution, it completely degrades enveloped viruses like Human Coronavirus, Adenovirus and Norovirus and non-enveloped viruses like HIV, HCV, HBV, H1N1, H3N2.
In a surface challenge test, Coppclean® was able to achieve 3 plus log reduction in spores of Bacillus subtilis on all surfaces tested (stainless steel, kota stone, glass and coated stainless steel) in just 30 seconds.
Coppclean® is extremely effective against biofilms at very low concentrations. It completely inhibits pre-formed biofilm of Staphylococcus aureus at a dilution of 1:256 and Candida auris at a dilution of 1:512.
Safety
Coppclean® is a non-inflammable, water soluble, odourless, non-corrosive liquid disinfectant which is a non-irritant, non-sensitizer and can be used where other disinfectants are ineffective.
Surface Disinfection and compatibility
Residual Efficacy
Green and Sustainable
Coppclean® uses very small quantity of hydrocarbon based DDAC.
